My ability to think is weaker every day, I am simply too tired.
I don't understand how people study Japanese in a Jewish country like America. So, I will write this in English, "subtitles". That way, you cannot pretend you misunderstand me because my Japanese is so bad. ;-) But more than that, things are worse every day, and my studying Japanese is more and more difficult.
Why would I like to leave America and live in the world of this anime, Kaiji?
The worst Japanese demon is a more respectable, more moral, better person than the most respected American or Jew.
The rail, pushing competition in Kaiji: an american would not hesitate, no reason would be necessary. The opportunity to push someone off something and injure them without legal repercussions would be jumped at, no pun intended. The audience of rich people wagering on the competition would not have to ask the participants twice. They would willingly participate, no tears or internal moral debate.
As punishment for losing the game, Hyoudou forces Tonegawa to kneel on a burning hot plate. This would never happen in America. The rich have no honor, they would never make a subordinate apologize in anyway for a mistake. When the big banks in America fail, the government bails them out with free money. They do this almost every ten years. In a way, they do it every day. But moreover, in America, a good or moral person can never be forgiven. If a good person were to win a competition, that good person would be punished for winning. For example, a Jew would never allow a non Jew, "a goy" to beat a Jew at a game. This is almost their religion. And they would never punish another Jew for that Jew's failure in an interaction with a non-Jew, "goy". This is in fact in the Jewish religious holy books.
The underground hell in Kaiji is very very similar to almost all of American society. Rigged games, eventually prison. But I noticed the air masks. Often in America, people doing such work are not given air masks. Of course in the anime, the situation is exaggerated a bit, but it is very similar to American prisons. But, for instance, the group leader would not be taking all the profit from the commissary. Large prison corporations take that profit. Junk food, even calling family members when allowed to, is marked up at least 15 times. Not, twice or three times as in Kaiji. Prisoners in California were paid something-like a fifteenth of minimum wage in America for fighting forest fires. And of course most American judges have shares in the prison corporations. In other words, the more people they put in prison, the more money they make in their stock portfolio. All this is very common in America.
Of course there are many differences between Japanese and American culture that the anime Kaiji makes clear. The group leader cheating at dice would never be punished in America. The higher ups would simply ask for a cut. The idea that another group leader would not be corrupt also is unthinkable in America. Just this basic idea, that somewhere, somehow, there's someone higher up who you can talk to and who will fix the corruption: that doesn't exist in America.
The group leader's "no count" speech would have succeeded in America. Cheating with sophistry is all of the rich of American society. Part of this is that all the people being cheated by such sophistry would accept it because they want their own lies and sophistry accepted also, at another time. For instance, they would all also be cheating at their own games, at whatever level of society, and so if they called out the group leader too easily, someone might call them out as well. In America, the group leader could simply continue to lie and eventually everyone would accept the lies. Again, if they didn't, American society would collapse. Watching this show is very strange for me in America, seeing the group leader sanctioned was very surprising. I was sure the other group leader would be in on it as well. I think probably, once more than 50% of a country or a culture is corrupt, then that culture or country ends. It's interesting that "no count" is in English.
Kaiji has an audience through much of the show and they are incredibly enthusiastic. This is of course for the story, for the drama of the show. But in America, people always side with the corruption. They always take the side of the rich, even against their own interests. In America, Kaiji would be laughed at and mocked, not just by the rich, but by the poor as well. He would have no comarades here, no friends. In the anime, when others learn of the cheating of the rich, they cry with Kaiji, they share his struggle. In America, Kaiji would be absolutely alone. In America, if you don't side with the rich, you become their victim. If you don't see lying and cheating as acceptable behavior, you become the victim of that behavior. Side with the rich, or everyone will single you out and sacrifice you to the rich and to themselves. That's America.
There's all these "gentlemen's agreement"s throughout Kaiji. These don't exist in America, they would be impossible. No one has any honor whatsoever. Reputation means nothing. Only lies matter. The Casino underboss who respects his own sign, Hyoudou who allows Kaiji to continue playing, the prison guards that allow Kaiji's request for the outside pass, even the state of the pachinko machine, completely obviously broken, the balls backed up, an American casino would immediately close the game. But more importantly and relevantly, in American society as a metaphorical casino, there is no winning. The game is rigged, sometimes in subtle, universally accepted ways, and you cannot cheat like the cheaters do and win within the bounds of their rules. They simply change their rules, reinterpret them. That last hole on the third plate is painted on in America, it's not even there.
But all the spoken agreements throughout Kaiji would be meaningless in America. The worst yakuza gangster is a better, nicer, more responsible person than the most honest lawyer or judge in America.
Endou takes a good chunk of Kaiji's winnings after drugging him. This is unbelievable to me. In America, he would take all of Kaiji's winnings, and all of the other man's winnings also. Kaiji is bound by a written agreement to the loan shark Endou. Endou is not bound by any such written agreement. So in America, Endou would feel comfortable taking all the money from all parties. A poor old man and an uneducated "criminal" in and out of jail? Endou would rob them blind in America. And they would have no recourse, legal or otherwise. At best, they would be many years in the corrupt American courts, trying to make Endou give them their share. But Endou would have the money, defacto, and he would be able to pay lawyers, or bribes, etc.. Further, the casino would know Endou and back him as a witness. This is another thing written of in the Jewish holy books. Jews are allowed to lie to non-jews and cheat them for money. Endou would be seen as a Jew on the Jew side, and Kaiji and the old man would be goys, to be cheated for whatever amount. In fact, it would be seen as unforgiveable NOT to cheat them. But chances are, with this amount of money, Kaiji and the old man's civil suit against Endou would never reach a court. American law is absolutely corrupt and Jewish law is the definition of corruption. There would never be an incentive to help an old man and a kid in and out of jail.
Kaiji is able to trust the gangster underlings to free his friends as well as his friend's son Ishida. This would never work in America. It's another "gentlemen's agreement." The gangster guards would simply take the rest of Kaiji's money and pretend they didn't know what he was talking about. Spoken agreements have no value whatsoever in America; and written agreements can be twisted and interpreted in a million ways. The rich always get richer. We are told it is a game, but there is no game.
As a last point Kaiji frees his friends from the prison. Wonderful. But in America, after doing this, his friends would spit on him on the outside. If one helped others like this in America, for any reason, one would be resented for it and never respected again. Forget yakitori and beer. Again, this is a matter of, probably, the greater than 50% corruption of American society. Simply put, if an American did not disdain and spit on those who might do him a good deed, then he couldn't cheat others and be indifferent to them later. It's one or the other. An American either spits on the person who is good, or spits on himself for doing bad. But if you don't cheat others in America, you cannot survive. So again, no yakitori and beer.
Kaiji is portrayed as a flawed character, he clearly has a gambling problem. But he's still a good person. He still has some honor. Kaiji always has a choice not to gamble. He makes the choice to waste the 100,000 yen he has left after everything. In America, this choice does not exist. Everyone must play the game. If you refuse the game, you will eventually end up in prison. "Freedom" is the ultimate American lie. American and Jewish culture is the very opposite. Or, to see it another way, there is freedom, but only the rich and the Jews enjoy that freedom.
I do not understand how Americans and Jews are able to watch Japanese anime. I think because they read the subtitles and don't understand Japanese, even as poorly as I do, they are using some different part of their brain and the cultural and moral differences slip past them.
